These days, authorities linked to the gambling industry are continuously working on improving things, especially when it concerns regulations, rules and safety.
Hence, the American Gaming Association alerted several states throughout the US to modify, and at the same time, upgrade their regulations to make sure that the rules will change the current situation for the better.
How Will This Decision Affect The Market?
Recently, a brand-new white paper titled, “Advancing Regulatory Modernization: Building on a Record of Success,” was published, in which the AGA accentuates the importance of enforcing these rules on the market.
For instance, regulators in Nevada have already modified some things in order to enable licensed operators to set up single-account play across all vertical, so that users do not have to create more than one account to gain access to various different services.
Michigan and Ohio decided to simplify the entire process of installing and removing gaming machines by redressing existing regulation. Furthermore, Missouri is planning to do something similar very soon.
Moreover, regulatory authorities in Mississippi and Pennsylvania have made things simpler for investors to get involved with gaming by augmenting the ownership share that somehow stimulates an institutional investor to obtain a gaming license.
Having An Impact On Others:
All these changes are affecting various segments of the gaming industry and that’s good because they are having positive effects.
The American Gaming Association shared their opinion regarding this topic:
“By watching other jurisdictions to identify promising reforms, many are finding new ways to approach their vital mission.
Only through constant re-examination of these regulatory standards and many others can regulators achieve their goal of ensuring a successful gaming industry that operates in the public interest while incorporating evolving technologies in today’s fast-paced economy.”
When it comes to Nevada, casinos can currently offer a single account to handle both horse and sports betting, as well as online poker play.
The regulator says that this is a major step towards meeting user demands for straightforward, smooth financial tools.
What About Other States?
On the other hand, regulators in Ohio have stripped out the rules that were used to popular claiming that gaming machines can only be transported in an inoperable position.
Luckily, for the time being, operators can easily transport the devices in “plug-and-play” mode without the presence of a gaming agent.
The situation is pretty much the same in Michigan while in Pennsylvania regulators are accentuating that investors must have at least 20% of business before they request a separate license.
