Responsible Gambling Week 2019 to Deal With Important Issues

Responsible Gambling Week 2019 to Deal With Important Issues

Not too long ago, the ‘Let’s Talk About Responsible Gambling’ campaign occurred. The purpose of this event was to discuss the industry and the precautions that need to be taken in order for things to function properly.

Responsible Gambling Week:

Since this event was extremely successful, the Industry Group for Responsible Gambling has decided to once again bring up this subject during Responsible Gambling Week (that will take place from 7th to 13th November) and see the outcome.

The IGRG will put together each important area of this industry through its member trade associations, such as the Association of British Bookmakers, British Amusement Machine Association, The Bingo Association, National Casino Forum as well as Remote Gambling Association.

The whole point of this is to discuss the actions to be taken in order to make this industry more secure and to stimulate both consumers and staff to get more information concerning responsible gambling.

The Message Behind It:

The main theme of the Week will be, “Let’s Talk About Safer Gambling,” and the goal of it is to raise their voice when it comes to this subject and for everyone to make sure that the message is sent properly.

Responsible Gambling week was successful in previous years. Stimulated by the success in 2017 and building on the huge engagement that was accomplished last year, which encompassed more than 12,000 gambling venues and online websites, 120,000 employees all over Great Britain and made around twenty million impressions on social media.

All these things showcase how impactful this entire idea is and they are looking forward to repeating it.

Continuous Effort to Promote Safety:

Even though operators are constantly giving their best to accentuate the importance of being protected when it comes to gambling, this week gives a chance for various corporations to once again discuss it and not with their consumers only but also with people who are part of their everyday life, such as family and friends.

John Hagan, Chairman of the Industry Group for Responsible Gambling stated:

“Social responsibility is fundamental to the gambling industry’s approach, and we are all dedicated, year-round, to promoting safer gambling. But what makes Responsible Gambling Week special is that the whole industry is united and engaged to highlight safer gambling to a broader audience.

Responsible Gambling Week 2018 was widely supported across the industry, helping to set a new benchmark for the campaign. We are confident that with the continued support of operators, charities and information networks we can build on last year’s success and reach a far greater audience.

RG Week 2019 will take place from 7th to 13th November; in announcing these dates early in the year we are hoping that the increased planning time will encourage and allow for further support. For 2019 we will be seeking to broaden RG Week’s supporter base and make use of complimentary communication networks, refining message themes for RG Week in line with consumer research and following input from specialist support groups.”
