GVC Holdings and Hero Gaming have become the members of the Swedish industry association, Branschforeningen for onlinespel.
Now, these two companies will join a small, but significant group of operators that have already been there for quite some time, such as MRG, Betsson, Paddy Power Betfair, Kindred Group, SG Digital and William Hill.
What Do We Know About This Organization?
This association is rapidly-growing and now it has over twenty members in total. Those who become adherents of this organization will receive various benefits. For instance, membership will cover every single gaming brand that each of these operators own.
For GVC it means bwin, PartyCasino and PartyPoker, while when it comes to Hero, they will include Speedy Casino, Speedy Bet brand and also Casino Heroes.
Gustaf Hoffstedt gave a few words:
“BOS's ambition is to gather the best online gaming companies on the Swedish gaming market; Hero Gaming and GVC had no difficulty claiming their place among these operators. Through the diverse range of companies we represent - we have over 20 online gaming companies in the association - and the experience of our members, we want to take the lead to ensure the Swedish licensing system will be a success.”
Incorporating Some Changes:
Things were slightly different before, at least as far as the membership is concerned. For the time being, there is only one type of membership for the organization, while before it had a tiered structure.
The old rules were less fair, at least to some individuals. For instance, some of them had more voting rights in comparison with others, but now, the system of the corporation decided to change things for the better and allow everyone to vote as much as they want.
Hoffstedt, added:
“That system was necessary when the association started as Sweden's first gaming industry association in 2012, but as the market has matured, there is no reason not to treat all members equally.”
Joining Forces With Red Tiger Gaming:
A few months ago, they made an agreement with leading software supplier, Red Tiger Gaming.
According to it, the creative provider is going to export some of their most popular slot machines to Hero Gaming.
Ultimately, many other companies will gain access to their games, such as Casino Heroes, Speedy, CasiTabi and Betser.
Gavin Hamilton, CEO of Red Tiger, feels the timing of this agreement was extremely important, adding:
“Hero Gaming operates brands that have a similar outlook to us and we are very pleased to be supplying them with our games. They like to wow their customers with real innovation and creativity and provide them with a great user experience.
We’re looking forward to working with them in Sweden next year and building a long-term partnership with their casinos in other regulated markets around the world.”
Tomas Backman, Hero Gaming CEO stated:
