According to the latest reports, the average income of this country was increased by virtue of precisely online gambling

Detailed Statistics:

UKGC (The UK Gambling Commission) has recently conducted a research and got some unbelievable results as far as this topic is concerned. Namely, from April last year, to March this year, the market’s general gambling revenue hit staggering £14.4 billion!

In comparison to other time span (from April 2016 to March 2017) this represents a 4.2% rise. Online gambling accounted for £5.3 billion of the latest total, while, on the other hand, online share increased to more than 37%.

Betting takes the second place with twenty-three percent share. Right after it, the National Lottery (with 21 %), casinos (with 8%), bingo (with 5%), big society lotteries (with 4%) and arcades (with 3%) follow.

The UKGC approved online activity licenses to 888 casinos, as of March this year. The numbers were slightly different in 2017. Furthermore, 780 of them were issued by the end of March last year.

Companies who are in correlation with the gambling industry and at the same time are based in this country, hold a 41% share of online activities. Right after them is Malta with 21%, while the Isle of Man and Gibraltar are at 7%.
